Dr Marco Faria Correa is an internationally recognised Brazilian-trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon with over 35 years of surgical and academic experience. He is widely known as a pioneer in minimally invasive aesthetic surgery and has contributed significantly to the global development of endoscopic and robotic-assisted plastic surgery techniques, particularly in advanced body contouring and reconstructive procedures.
Dr Marco graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, and completed his specialist plastic surgery training in 1984. He later advanced his expertise in microsurgery and hand surgery in Japan and served as Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery and Microsurgery at the Catholic University Hospital in Brazil (1989–1994), where he was involved in surgical education and research.
In the early 1990s, he pioneered endoscopic plastic surgery techniques for breast and body contouring procedures, developing patented surgical instruments. In 2013, he expanded into robotic surgery and performed one of the world’s earliest robotic-assisted rectus diastasis repairs during abdominoplasty, with published research in international medical literature.
He is currently based in Singapore while expanding clinical services to Bali, Indonesia, and remains active in global surgical education and innovation.
