Frequently Asked Questions

Modern silicone implants are not considered lifetime devices. Most manufacturers recommend assessment every 10–15 years, though many implants remain in good condition beyond this. Routine monitoring is advised.
Temporary changes in nipple or breast sensitivity are common following surgery. Permanent loss of sensation is uncommon but possible, and your surgeon will discuss this risk during consultation.
Most women retain the ability to breastfeed following augmentation, particularly with inframammary or transaxillary incisions. Periareolar incisions carry a slightly higher risk of affecting milk ducts.
Cosmetic breast augmentation is generally not covered by Australian private health insurance or Medicare. Our team can provide detailed cost breakdowns, and financing options are available if needed.
